SINCERITY BEFORE DECISION AND DETERMINATION

The power that motivate and move you towards any work before doing it must be known to you. Is it a divine power that is motivating you towards your aims and objectives or your motivation is that of satanic one? Or it is your sensual factor which has pushes you towards the way you have chosen or not?    

In order not to be afflicted with sensual motivation and satanic temptation and for these two motivations not to take place in your work, it is incumbent before any decision and determination to empty your mind from all sorts of temptation and motivation that is not divine and then take your decision for the pleasure of Almighty Allah for the work you wanted to do.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) in this respect said:

“If you wanted to perform Pilgrimage, you should empty your mind for Almighty Allah before your decision for any engagement; likewise you should empty your mind from any obstacle that may prevent you”.[1]

Even though this order and statement was issued in regards to Pilgrimage but it is a general guidelines for everyone that wanted to attain and achieve any great ambition.

In a nutshell, before commencing any program you should release yourself from worldly aspiration and should put only Almighty Allah into consideration, and then start your deliberation before implementing your aims and objectives.
