امام صادق علیه السلام : اگر من زمان او (حضرت مهدی علیه السلام ) را درک کنم ، در تمام زندگی و حیاتم به او خدمت می کنم.
Does the prayer for the hasty reappearance of Imam Zamana (ATFS) contradicts with this sentence ((وصبّرنی علی ذلک حتی لا احبّ تعجیل ما اخّرت ولا تأخیر ما عجّلت)) in the prayer of occultation?

Does the prayer for the hasty reappearance of Imam Zamana (ATFS) contradicts with this sentence ((وصبّرنی علی ذلک حتی لا احبّ تعجیل ما اخّرت ولا تأخیر ما عجّلت)) in the prayer of occultation?

Answer:

Praying for the hasty reappearance of the Imam Zamana, may our lives be sacrificed on him, with the context of the dua of occultation does not contradict each other if we focus on the meaning of the dua for the hasty reappearance.

To further explain the matter; if someone pray for the hasty reappearance of the Imam Zamana (ATFS), it can have either of these two meanings.

  1. Oh! Allah make the reappearance of Imam Zamana (ATFS) hastier even though the conditions for it has not been fulfilled.
  2. Oh! Allah make the reappearance of the Imam Zamana (ATFS) has hastier by fulfilling the conditions required for it.

If the purpose of the one who is praying is the first one, it means that he wants the Imam to reappear so that he can serve him and see him even though the conditions of the reappearance has not been fulfilled. It does not justify in any manner that in this way without fulfilling the conditions for the reappearance of Imam Zamana (ATFS) can become a cause for the martyrdom of Imam (ATFS). Actually Imam himself wants his reappearance to be hasty, not that he asks Allah to create the conditions for the reappearance so that his appearance can become hastier.

It is a fact if someone prays for the hasty reappearance of Imam Zamana and then he rushes it is not proper and finally he will be misled and will be eradicated and he will become an example of («هلک المستعجلون»).

Therefore, praying like this, is from ones desire not what the Allah wants and hence it contradicts with this statement («وصبّرنی علی ذلک حتی لا احبّ...» (جمال الاسبوع : 315)).

Second purpose, if the one who is praying wants from Allah that may Allah haste the reappearance of Imam Zamana, may our life be sacrificed on him, it means that with the unlimited authority that Allah has, he should fulfil the condition for the reappearance. This is a fact that this kind of dua for the hasty reappearance of Imam Zamana will not have any kind of contradiction with the dua for his occultation.

Therefore, the one who is praying wants Allah to fulfil the condition required for the reappearance of Imam Zamana. This should be kept in mind that his reappearance which has some conditions to be fulfilled, will only occur with the will of Allah (SWT) and Allah has said: («... فقل انما الغیب لله فانتظروا انی معکم من المنتظرین» (سورۀ یونس ، آیۀ 20) .)

Hence, if the reappearance is taking a longer time, Allah is delaying the reappearance because the conditions for the reappearance is yet not fulfilled. Either the people has not  prayed for the reappearance or 313 of his special follower have not been formed or the other condition and requirements have not been fulfilled by the people. However, if the people starts praying for the reappearance which is one of the conditions for his reappearance, not only they have made the reappearance hastier but also they have performed one of their biggest duties. Therefore, they have asked Allah to haste reappearance of Imam Zamana (ATFS) by exercising his unlimited authority fulfils the condition. And they have not asked Allah for the reappearance of Imam Zamana without the fulfilment of the conditions required for the reappearance which is the will of Allah as well.

Consequently, Allah has never delayed the reappearance if its conditions was fulfilled, which may contradict the prayers of the people with the will and consent of Allah. Moreover, the prayers of the people which asks Allah for the hasty reappearance of the Imam Zamana for Allah has fulfilled the conditions does not contradicts the consent of Allah.

Dua in reality has a great position near Allah, and Allah has destined it for us, as they have said: (إنّ الدعاء یردَ القضاء ولوم ابرم ابراما.)

Dua can change the destiny even if it is certain and definite.

If Allah’s consent is with the illness or poverty of someone, and it is what is better for him, Allah has provided this path that with the help of Dua and treatment, he can get the consent of Allah and he can get rid of the illness and poverty.

Similarly, if the consent of Allah is with the delay in the reappearance of Imam Zamana, may our lives be sacrificed on him, Allah has kept opened this path for the people that with the dua they can ask Allah to fulfil the conditions for the hasty reappearance of the Imam (ATFS).
