    Names of the reciters of the tragedies of Karbala in the book of Lady Fatima Zahra (p.b.u.h.).

In the book “Chehre e Darakhshan e Husain ibne Ali Alaihima As-Salam, p. 227-230 (the luminous face of Husain, the son of Ali (p.b.u.t.))” it is written: Farzaneh, the scholar, partisan of the household of the Prophet’s school of thought, the augment of Islam and the Muslims honourable Sayyid Murtaza Mujtahidi Sistani has stated that:

My honourable uncle, Late Haj Sayyid Ibrahim Mujtahidi Sistani (May Allah raises his status), was amongst the reciters, orators and a servant of the state of Quds e Razavi of His Excellency, Ali ibne Musa Al-Reza (p.b.u.h.). He saw a vision in his dream, which is byword for all the reciters and the orators of the leader of the martyrs (Husain ibne Ali (p.b.u.h.)), “He was in the presence of Lady Fatima (p.b.u.h.) and saw an open book in front of her and asked, “What is this book?” Lady Fatima (p.b.u.h.) replied that, “In it are the names of those who recite the tragedies of my son Husain (p.b.u.h.)” he looks into it and notices that the names of some of the reciter are written with the exact amount they earned during the two months of Muharram and Safar. He noticed that even his name is written in it and in front of it was written thirty tomans. When he wakes up from his dream, he was astonished with what he saw in his dreams, although thirty tomans was much for a single recitation but for two months and for numerous recitations, it was unbelievable.

Perhaps few day were left in the month of Muharram of that year, he fell sick and was unable to move out of his house, his illness continued until the month of Muharram and Safar passed away. Only on one day, he felt better during these two months and visited a session of mourning were he recited and after that, the owner of the house handed over a packet in which there were thirty tomans.

Thereafter, it was confirmed that his vision was true one and it became vivid that how much Lady Fatima (p.b.u.h.) cares for the reciters, orators and also for those who recite elegies. In addition, how all these matters are organised and managed by her.

How much importance does the Lady Fatima (p.b.u.h.) gave to these gatherings and sessions, which are carried by piety and devotion; to make it more evident look at these narrations:

Imam Sadiq (p.b.u.h.) in a narration states,

ما من باك يبكيه الا وقد وصل فاطمه و اسعدها عليه و وصل رسول الله صلى الله عليه و آله و ادى حقنا(1)

There is no one who lament upon Imam Husain (p.b.u.h.) and his lamentation does not reaches the Lady Fatima (p.b.u.h.) which helps her in mourning for Imam Husain (p.b.u.h.), her lamentation reaches the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) and will fulfil our right in this regard.

In an another narration Imam Sadiq (p.b.u.h.) states the importance of lamentation upon Imam Husain (p.b.u.h.) as,

...انه لينظر الى من يبكيه فيستغفر له و يسال اباه الاستغفار له و يقول : ايها الباكى لو علمت ما اعد الله لك لفرحت اكثر مما حزنت و انه ليستغفر له من كل ذنب و خطيئه .(2)

Imam Husain (p.b.u.h.) watches over those who lament upon him and then prays for the forgiveness of the lamenter and asks the commander of the faithful to pray for their forgiveness as well. He says to those lamenters, “If you would have known that what has Allah has bestowed upon you all, you would become more delighted than the amount of unhappiness you are feeling at the moment” and he prays for their forgiveness from any kind of sin they have performed.

    يك قطره اشك در غم آن خسرو شهيد          صدنامه سياه گنه مى كند سفید

What we derive for the mentioned narrations is that these mourning sessions are commemorated in the presence of Imam Husain (p.b.u.h.). Those who visit these sessions should know that they are in the presence of Sayyad As-Shuhada (p.b.u.h.) and they should give him respect and maintain the decorum of his presence.

The next most important point, which should be mentioned, is that the lamenters should pray for the reappearance of the revenger of Imam Husain’s (p.b.u.h.) blood before starting such mourning sessions and lamenting. In addition, they should pray to Allah that He (Allah) hasten the reappearance of the Remnant of Allah (may our lives be sacrificed upon him) so that they should become the subject of the prayers and grace of Imam Zamana (p.b.u.h.).

In a vision, Imam Zamana (may our lives be sacrificed upon him) says,

انى لادعو لكل مومن يدعو لى بعد ذكر مصائب سيدالشهدا فى مجالس العزاء (3)

I always pray for every faithful person, who prays for me after lamenting upon the Sayyad As-Shuahad (p.b.u.h.) in the mourning sessions.
