The Prophet of Allah’s (peace be upon him and his household) view about Lady Fatima (Peace be upon her)

The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) respected Lady Fatima (p.b.u.h.) more than what people have assumed, more than the respect which people used to give to their daughters, and in this case, the level of affection was more than what was normally paid to their children. Thus, the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) has said this, not once but numerously in the presence of those who were close to him and in front of the public, “Fatima is the leader of all the women of all the worlds and she is the equivalent to the Merriam, the daughter of Imran. When she will pass the court of the day of Judgement an oracle will call upon everyone that “lower down your gaze as Fatima (p.b.u.h.) the daughter of Mohammad is crossing””.

This narration is amongst the authenticated narrations and it is not a weak narration by any means. The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) has said. “That Allah chose Ali as the mate for Fatima and before that Allah had, in the presence of the angels, chosen him as the mate for her in the skies”.

In addition, Prophet (p.b.u.h.) not once but has numerously said, “Who so ever hurts Fatima has hurt me and who so ever made her angry has made me angry”.

Moreover, he repeated again. “Fatima is a part of my body, who so ever distressed her, has distressed me”.

These speeches and its kind was one amongst many reasons of Aisha’s enmity towards Fatima (p.b.u.h.), more the Prophet (p.b.u.h) paid respect and regard to the Lady Fatima (p.b.u.h.) the enmity of the would increase proportionally. It is well known that the humans are prone to become jealous even at a lesser degree of envy than this, imagine what would have happened with such speeches.

After that, the grudge and the hatred of the Lady Fatima has crept into her husband’s life, occasionally these grudges and hatreds got transferred to the men and it had been a proverb since long «زنان افسانه‏ سرايان‏ نيمه‏ شب‏ هايند».

Lady Fatima (p.b.u.h.) had many complaint and grievances with Aisha, whenever the women of Madina would see her, they gather around her and they quotes Aisha’s word in front of her and when they would go to the house of Aisha, they would quote Lady Fatima’s (p.b.u.h.) word for Aisha. As the Lady Fatima (p.b.u.h.) would complain about Aisha to her husband, Aisha also complained about the Lady Fatima (p.b.u.h.) to Abu Bakr. Since, Aisha knew that her husband will not listen anything against Lady Fatima (p.b.u.h) but these things had an effect on Abu Bakr.

The Prophet (p.b.u.h.) praised Ali (p.b.u.h.), the commander of the faithful, and his close ones, which mounted upon the jealousy and the enmity of Abu Bakr and Talhah, who were the father and the uncle of Aisha respectively. Aisha used to sit and listen to their conversation and both of them used to come and listen to what Aisha had to say, the words of Aisha had an impact upon them and vice versa.(1)
