State on of the most important obligations for the Shias in the time of Occultation?

Answer:

Each and every follower and supporter of Ahl Al-Bait (AS) and everyone who is in search of the path of the advancement towards Allah (SWT), should know that Allah had not only given them the powers and the positions but also had entitled them with heavy and hefty responsibilities.

One of the most important obligation in the time of occultation is dedicating our self in serving Imam Zamana (ATFS).

We are obliged to serve Imam Zamana and fulfil our pact of being a trustworthy and helpful to him. We should be committed towards him with all our heart and soul so that we can be of some help to our Imam. It is one of the great teachings of Dua e Ahad.

Imam Sadiq (AS) through this dua, teaches all of us that all the lovers the Ahl Bait (AS) and all those who admire Imam Mahdi (ATFS), may our life be sacrificed on him, had made a pact to help Imam sacrificing everything in his way.

We should renew these pact every day and should remain firmly in its path, neither should we lose it nor should we replace it with anything. We recite in the dua Ahad:

أَللَّهُمَّ إِنّي اُجَدِّدُ لَهُ في صَبيحَةِ يَوْمي هذا، وَما عِشْتُ مِنْ أَيَّامي، عَهْداً وَعَقْداً وَبَيْعَةً لَهُ في عُنُقي، لا أَحُولُ عَنْها، وَلا أَزُولُ أَبَداً.

O! Allah, I have made pact and paid my allegiance to Imam Zamana (ATFS) on this dawn and on every following day that I will not leave him under any circumstances.

Therefore, we should strive and work in the path of Imam so that we should be amongst the servant and attendants of Imam. In the dua e Qunoot of Imam Hasan Askari (AS) recites:

اللهم اجعلنا سبباَ من أسبابه وعلماً من أعلامه ومعقلاً من معاقله. (صحیفۀ مهدیه: 163)

Allah, may we be amongst one of the reasons and one of the symbols and signs and one of the refuge for the refugees.

Therefore, not only we should be aware of Imam Zamana (ATFS) rather we should strive to help and serve Imam Zamana, may our lives be sacrificed on him, and should guide the peoples towards him.
