Since when Hazrat Abu Talib had faith in the Prophet Hood of Mohammad (SAWW)?

Answer:

Hazrat Abu Talib was the respected Father of the commander of the faithful Ali (AS) and has complete faith in the Prophet Hood of the Mohammad (SAWW). He not only had the faith in the Prophet Hood of Mohammad (SAWW) but even thirty years before the birth of his son the commander of the faithful Ali (AS), he was very much aware of the exalted place of the holy Prophet. Hazrat Abu Talib have had expressed his faith in the Prophet Hood of Prophet Mohammad (SAWW) in front of Fatima bint Asad the mother of the commander of the faithful Ali (AS) on the very first day when the holy Prophet was born. Deceased Muhaddis e Kulaini, Allama Majlisi and others have mentioned this narration in their books.

قال ابوعبدالله عليه السلام: انّ فاطمة بنت اسد جائت الى أبي طالب لتبشرّه بمولد النبيّ صلي الله عليه وآله فقال ابوطالب : اصبري سبتاً ابشرّک بمثله الاّ النبوّة.(1)
Imam Sadiq (AS) said, “‘Fatima bint Asad went near Hazrat Abu Talib and prophesied about the birth of Holy Prophet (SAWW).’ then Hazrat Abu Talib said, ‘Be patience for thirty years so that I shall prophesy you about a similar matter except the prophet hood.’”

(It refers to the birth of the commander of the faithful Ali (AS), which will occur after thirty years of the birth of the Prophet Mohammad (SAWW))

According to this, not only Hazrat Abu Talib and Hazrat Fatima bint Asad had faith on the prophet hood of Mohammad (SAWW) and on the leadership (Imamat) of the commander of the faithful Ali (AS) but even before the prophet hood of the Holy Prophet and thirty years before the birth of the commander of the faithful Ali (AS) they had faith in it.

It should be kept in mind that Hazrat Abu Talib had faith on the exalted position of Prophet Mohammad (SAWW) and of the commander of the faithful Ali (AS). On the day of the birth of the Holy Prophet and thirty years earlier of the birth of his son the commander of the faithful Ali (AS) he expressed his faith, and it is when he accepted the exalted position of those two magnanimous personality.
